Sheets stripped from bed.
Flat sheet, fitted sheet, pillowcase.
Individually placed in washer.
Spin cycle twists.
Wet sheets
Shaken to untangled,
Tossed into dryer.
Roll, flip, turn
Over
And
Over.
Cycle chimes,
“Ready to go!”
Not so neatly packaged,
Wrapped to go.
At least it’s dry.

That was straight out of the dryer. I had nothing to do with that bundle. But, I did have to unwrap it so the sheets could make the bed.

There is nothing worse than trying to fold a fitted sheet. Somehow, I believe you know how to do it. 🙂
Ha, ha! I wouldn’t be the one who has the technical way to fold sheets. Sheets go from dryer back to bed.

A laundry poem. You never run out of new and unexpected topics.
Why is it that things clump together in the dryer? When I take the sheets out there is usually a pillowcase or two packaged in the fitted sheet.

Love it! This is why I strip and putting the same set back… no folding! However, when my son and his family leave after their yearly visit, I’m doing up four sets to put away in the linen closet. And I’ve been known to talk to the corners.
Those sheets were getting put back on the bed they came from.
Yep. Your picture just about says it all. I used to love to hang sheets on the line outside just to get that smell of sunshine. But then you still have to fold them.
We don’t fold because they go right back on the bed they came from.

Your poem made me laugh! At least twice a year, I watch one of those YouTube videos were they demonstrate how to fold fitted sheets, and I think, “OK, now I will be able to do it.” Nope!
Great poem. I always laugh a little when the sheets come out this way. Then I double check to ensure that the things inside the package are completely dry.
They don’t stay wrapped for long, they go right back on the bed.
I laughed! Love the photo! It is easy to strip the bed and throw everything into the washer and dryer – but I dread either folding them and putting them away or putting them back on the bed – always a bit of a struggle and the sheets always win!
