"The problem with people is they forget that that most of the time it's the small things that count." (Said by Finch in All the Bright Places by Jennifer Niven. These are my small things that count.
“Green jumps into the pool of red.” So I see! I love how you give voice to the living things around you. You so influence my thinking that I stop expecting to catch a piece of the conversation here. Alas my trees are silent but the pansies might be up to something in a few months!
Beautiful! Our tree in the front yard looks very similar and it’s only caught the red bug in the last few days and it’s moved quickly! I hope it holds on to the red for awhile before the leaves slowly float to the ground.
I like the idea of the leaves having a painting party. The party is almost over here. Then we will watch the ballerina branches pirouet throughout the winter. Did I just do a post? Inspirational Elsie!
Love the ‘red has found the tip-top’ Elsie. Ours has been a quick turning this year, they say because of the drought. Thanks for the photos enhancing your words.
Fall is my favorite season and I love to watch the trees spread their color. The wind often creates swirling leaves in the ravine behind our house. Years ago my daughter dubbed it a “leaf fall.” We still use the term!
So fun to see the process. Thanks for sharing the pictures. I’ll keep this poem to share when we talk about personification.
Great poem and pics. And that it exactly what they have been doing the last couple of days. I think we have more color this year than we have had in the past.

A wonderful party. The photographs were a nice sandwich to the words.
Isn’t this a great time of year? I loved that you included the two pictures, really adding to the title. In the writing I especially loved the quote.
This personification of colors is just perfect–especially in this format, where I scroll down just like the colors did!

Love that the trees/leaves are calling to each other.
Love the description of the red at the tip top. It reminds me of a paintbrush that has just been dipped into the paint.

I loved how talked about the party of crimson at the end. This is so beautiful, I hope you don’t mind if I share it with the kiddos.
I love this! A little earlier this fall, I, too, tried to catch the transformation in words. The pictures added to the beauty!
I like the joy in your painting party poem. Maples in Estonia are mostly yellowish-brownish. The few reds make a splash.

Love this piece! We read, we see! RED!!!!
